It's Time for Your Flu Shot

Influenza (flu) season usually runs from October through May. Last year's flu season started earlier than usual in Alabama and caused a big spike in emergency room visits in December 2024 and January 2025. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months and older, with rare exceptions, get a flu shot every season. Flu shots can reduce flu illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Getting your flu shot early in the season is the best way to protect yourself and others.

The flu shot is free for VIVA HEALTH and VIVA MEDICARE members.

Understanding the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (M3P)

Annual Notice of Changes (ANOC)

Each year in September, we send you an Annual Notice of Changes or ANOC. The ANOC shows any changes in benefits or costs for your VIVA MEDICARE plan for the upcoming year. You can also see your ANOC online at VivaHealth.com/Medicare/MemberResources. There’s a lot of information in your ANOC, but this videos walk you through the document to make sure you know what to look for. Keep in mind as we go through each section of the ANOC, that your plan’s ANOC may look a little different and may contain different section numbers.
